Final Thought

Salvesen 97's lost their keeper Shawn in the warm up after he injured his thumb, later confirmed as broken which meant Paul had to step into the breach and coped well. Bonnyrigg Rose BC were 3 divisions higher than Salvesen but that was not apparent in the opening 10 minutes of this match. Salvesen had several good chances to open the scoring and matched Bonnyrigg in every department. But the lose of the opening goal in the 11th minute saw many of the players unbelievably letting their heads to go down so early in the match. This is when they were still very much in the game.

Again Salvesen leaked silly goals in the second half and this was their down fall today after a good showing in the majority of the first half. Again there were players who showed willing and worked hard but on the other side of the coin there were several players who just do not get the meaning of getting back and supporting their team mates. All to keen to go forward but forget they have to work back as well. There's always next week.
